Improvements have been introduced to a popular bus service near Tonyrefail thanks to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Highways and Transportation Department.
Residents living in the Mountain View Estate are now benefiting from the improvements to their bus service.
Due to popular demand, daytime journeys on the no 152 (Tonypandy - Tonyrefail - Hendreforgan Estate) service now operate further into the Estate and serve Birchwood Drive and Beechwood Drive, as well as the bus stop at the entrance.
The journeys, which are operated by Veolia Transport Cymru, call in to the Estate at the following times: 08.05, 10.04, 12.07, 13.59, 15.04 and 17.04.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport and Customer Care Cllr Andrew Morgan said: “We endeavour to assist public transport users as much as possible and are always willing to listen to their concerns in an effort to improve the services on offer.”
Councillor Eudine Hanagan, Ward Member for Tonyrefail West, has welcomed the extension of the service: “This alteration will make the 152 service more accessible for residents, particular those who have mobility difficulties and are unable to walk any distance. We hope it will be a welcomed addition to this busy service at Mountain View.”
