School Governors

Dedicated support is provided to all governors in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Governors are one of the largest groups of volunteers promoting learning opportunities, encouraging the children and young people of the Authority to reach their full potential.

Rhondda Cynon Taf has 3 Nursery, 117 Primary, 19 Secondary and 4 Special Schools. Governors play a vital role in the life and work of our schools, and this is recognised throughout the education system. The Becoming a School Governor document will explain in detail the role and responsibilities of school governors.

Training course and opportunities are offered with no cost to governors. Please see our Training and Development Catalogue for further details.
