Community Alarm and Telecare Services

Telecare is a system that can help people to live independently, safely and securely in their own homes.  At the same time, it can give family and friends peace of mind.

Telecare makes use of our 24 hour Carelink Lifeline Service by sending alarms to alert staff of potential problems.

What is Safe AT Home?

The Safe At Home Service provides a range of detectors that are placed around your home to help manage and minimize risks to your health and home environment.

There are a wide range of detectors available including smoke detectors, low temperature sensors, gas sensors and fall detectors. All the detectors are linked via a Lifeline Unit to our 24-hour Carelink response centre providing round the clock reassurance and protection.

How does it work?

Upon a detector being activated, a call is made automatically to the response centre. The system informs our operators of the address, type and location of the detector allowing them to take the most appropriate action, whether that is providing advice or reassurance, contacting a family member, neighbour, doctor or even the emergency services.

Can I use the Safe AT Home service?

There is an eligibility criteria for Safe AT Home, which is based on your need for the system. Full details of the service eligibility criteria can be obtained from the address opposite or by contacting your local Community Care office.

What does it cost?

There may be a service charge for Safe AT Home, depending upon your individual circumstances. Full details of any charge are available from the address opposite.

Any charge to be levied will be discussed and agreed upon before any equipment is installed.
